Abstract

Grouper fish is a fish that has entered the international market. Grouper fish live in groups. It causes rapid disease transmission from one fish to another. In 2018, it was known that the intensity of grouper mortality was caused by parasites 39 %, bacteria 32 %, and 29 % by viruses. The limited knowledge of farmers related to grouper disease has caused in mass mortality. Therefore we need a system like an expert which has a function to increase knowledge of how to treat disease from the anatomy of the symptoms that appear. The method used in the expert system for grouper disease diagnosis was the dempster-shafer method where this method can help farmers to diagnose diseases that attack fish earlier based on the symptoms appear. The initial stage of this method requires weight values to be filled in by experts to produce a final conclusion of the disease. From the 20 data tested, it is concluded that the accuracy of the expert system for diagnosing grouper disease using dempster-shafer method is 95 %.
