Abstract

The sugarcane industry plays a crucial role in the economy of many countries, including Indonesia, serving as the primary raw material for the production of sugar, bioethanol, and related products. The enhancement of sugarcane production and yield is paramount to supporting food security, the economic well-being of sugarcane farmers, and the overall sugar industry. However, sugarcane farmers often encounter challenges in improving their productivity and yield. One key factor that can contribute to increased sugarcane yield is the proper use of fertilizers. BASISCROP is specifically formulated for sugarcane plants, designed to enhance the availability of essential nutrients required by the crops. This study involves the dedication to the Peasant Sugarcane Farmers Association (APTR) in Jatiroto, with the aim of disseminating information on the benefits and application of BASISCROP fertilizer. The methodology encompasses the identification of needs and preparation, socialization and training, selection of experimental plots, application of BASISCROP, and evaluation. The outcomes of this endeavor include an improved understanding among farmers regarding BASISCROP, reflecting the potential of similar technologies to enhance agricultural yields in other farming communities.
