Abstract

Shallot is one of the agricultural commodities that are vulnerable to weather change. Rainfall variability potentially impacts decreasing shallot productivity and its implication to decrease of farmers’ household income and welfare. Farmers need to do adaptation strategies to overcome rainfall variability. This research aims to formulate a farmer’s livelihood strategy for dealing with rainfall variability. 5 respondents were involved in this research. Data in this research were analyzedusing the AnalyticalHierarchy Process (AHP). The results show that the priority of shallot farmer’s livelihood strategy is to combine livelihood in on-farm farm and off-farm sectorswith a value of e 0,329
