Abstract
Retention or depreciation of medical record documents is the separation of medical records that have been stored for at least 2 years (non-hospital facilities) from the date the patient was treated or discharged. The medical records officer at the Rambipuji health center has never carried out an extermination resulting in an excess capacity of medical record documents on the Filling rack and in a limited space. Shelving Filling in Rambipuji health center totals 4 shelves. The officer has difficulty in detecting whether the medical record has been inactive or is still active because SIKDA as a primary inFormation system does not yet have a retention inFormation system. This study uses the waterfall development method (Sommervile, 2011) with the design of the system flow using flowcharts, CD (context diagrams) and DFD (data flow diagram level 1) and program implementation using Microsoft Visual Foxpro 9.0. the results of this study are applications that can assist officers in detecting inactive medical records and are ready to be destroyed.
