Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of giving maggot flour (Hermetia illucens) in the ration on the performance of free-range chickens. This research was carried out in Tukum Village, Tekung District, Lumajang Regency using 200 DOC reared for 60 days of age. This research used the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method which consisted of 4 treatments and 5 replications. Data were analyzed using the ANOVA test (Analysis of Variance). And if the results are significant, use the Ducan Matiple Range Test (DMCT), the treatment given is P0 without giving maggot flour, P1 maggot flour 5 gr/kg, P2 maggot flour 10 gr/kg and P3 maggot flour 15 gr/kg. The parameters measured are feed consumption, body weight gain, Feed Conversion Ration (FCR). The results of the analysis showed that fish meal with maggot meal in this study had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the performance of free-range chickens which included feed consumption, body weight gain and Feed Conversion Ration (FCR).
