Abstract
The filing room at Mitra Sehat Situbondo Hospital is currently not ergonomic. The storage shelf dimensions, chairs, and work tables that do not align with the staff's anthropometry have resulted in staff experiencing complaints of back pain and a decrease in productivity. The objective of this research is to redesign the filing room, design storage shelves, chairs, work tables, and calculate the shelf requirements for the next 5 years. The data sources used in this study include secondary data obtained from existing sources and primary data collected directly by the researcher, such as measurement data and observations. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observations, documentation, and brainstorming. The results of this study indicate a new filing room requirement of 72m2, with a total of 28 shelves needed for the next 5 years. The design of the storage shelves has a height of 180.38cm and a shelf-to-shelf distance of 50cm, in accordance with the anthropometry of the staff, including the reach of their arms upward and shoulder width. Additionally, designing work tables and chairs to enhance staff productivity and reduce the risk of work-related illnesses at Mitra Sehat Situbondo Hospital. The researcher suggests the need for additional shelves for the next 5 years to store all medical records within the shelves, as well as expanding the available space and adjusting the dimensions of the shelves, chairs, and work tables to match anthropometric measurements.
