Abstract

Djatitoro Hospital has been using HMIS (Hospital Management Information System) since 2014. In 2023, Djatiroto Hospital is transitioning the system from the old SIMRS to the new HMIS. One of the units implementing the new HMIS is the registration unit. Therefore, an evaluation is needed to determine the level of hospital readiness in implementing the new HMIS, especially in the registration section. This research aims to implement HMIS in the registration section at Djatiroto Hospital using the Hot-Fit Method. This type of research is qualitative analysis research. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects of this research were 1 head of IT, 1 medical records coordinator and 3 registration officers. The results of this research based on the human aspect show that users accept the new HMIS but training has not been provided evenly to officers and users feel that the appearance of the new HMIS is more complicated. The organizational aspect shows that management support needs to be increased to provide human resources in the IT unit for HMIS management and there is no specific policy that regulates HMIS. The technological aspect shows that the development system has been adapted to user needs but HMIS operating instructions are not yet available. HMIS has provided good benefits but requires regular system improvements and evaluation to maintain optimal system performance. Suggestions from this research are the need for regular training scheduling, additional officers in the IT unit, provision of special policies that regulate HMIS and regular HMIS maintenance.
