Abstract

Siti Aisyah Hospital in Lubuklinggau City implemented the HIMS to provide health services in 2018. However, implementation of HIMS in medical record units is not optimal. The information generated by HIMS is not accurate and does not match the needs of the user; the results do not match the data entered by the user; lack of supervision and policy from the managerial side; errors found in some of the available menus; and the unavailability of the HIMS usage module. It is necessary to evaluate the performance of the system using the HOT-Fit method, which aims to enable the hospital to understand three aspects that directly related to HIMS: human, organizational, and technological. This type of research was qualitative descriptive research. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, documentation, and focus group discussions (FGD). The subjects of this study were three medical record staff, one head of the medical record unit, one head of the medical services unit, and one head of the IT unit. The results of the study show that HIMS has been used routinely, but has not been supported equitable training for users. Non-maximal supervision in HIMS implementation system maintenance is not routinely performed. The quality of the system is secure and easy to learn and use; however, there are still errors in some menus. Inaccurate quality of information and lack of data completeness. HIMS has helped improve the performance of users in service but has not provided optimal satisfaction for users. Recommendations in the implementation of HIMS in medical record units carry out regular evaluations, carry out system improvements and developments, increase collaboration with vendor, and carry out internal supervision in the implementation of HIMS in optimally improving HIMS performance.
