Abstract

Since 2019 PKU Muhammadiyah Kutowinangun Hospital has been with HMIS to assist in the service process for patients. However, in implementation there are still several obstacles, namely the difference in the number of patient visits between the system and the manual, HMIS has not been integrated with Social Security Agency on Health, the username and password have not been given to each officer and the information system cannot replace the manual system. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the hospital management information system using the PIECES method in the Medical Record Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Kutowinangun Hospital. This type of research is a qualitative research with data collection methods using in-depth interviews, observation, documentation studies and focus group discussions. The research results obtained showed that HMIS of PKU Muhammadiyah Kutowinangun in the Medical Record Installation had not been able to provide good performance, there were differences in data between the system and the manual, the features were still incomplete and the display was boring. In addition, the information generated is still not reliable, and the integration is not optimal and the information system has not been able to replace the manual system. Data security is not fully guaranteed because the username and password for each officer are not yet available. The recommendation that can be given is that it is hoped that the IT officer will immediately correct errors that occur in HMIS and carry out development by adding the necessary features. Hospital management is also expected to work together to formulate policies related to HMIS in order to improve the quality of health services.
