Abstract

The daily inpatient census activities for Elizabeth Situbondo Hospital are still carried out manually based on paper, even though the hospital actually has a daily inpatient census reporting system in the hospital information system that cannot function properly. The main problem that is often experienced by medical record officers and heads of medical records when managing daily inpatient census data is an error in inputting incoming and outgoing patient data on the daily inpatient census form filled out by the room nurse. This problem has an impact on inpatient service statistics in the form of BOR, AvLOS, BTO, and TOI values which have the possibility of being inaccurate where this can affect decision by hospital management for the development and processing of service utilization rates, quality, and efficiency in the future. The purpose of this study was to design and create a Web-Based Inpatient Daily Census Data Processing Application at Elizabeth Situbondo Hospital. This study uses the FAST method with the type of research R&D (Research and Development) and data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The result of this study is a Web-Based Inpatient Daily Census Data Processing Application at Elizabeth Situbondo Hospital which can produce precise and accurate daily inpatient census reports. The suggestions are that applications can be developed so that they can export Barber Johnson charts according to user needs. Future researchers are also expected to be able to evaluate and develop this information system according to user needs in the future.
