Abstract

This study aims to determine the analysis of breeding ducks and commercial ducks in Gumukmas District, Jember Regency. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive using a sample of 6 farmers from each commodity. This study presents quantitative data types, with data sources in the form of primary data, and skunder. Data collection techniques include observations and interviews with breeding duck farmers and commercial ducks in Gumukmas District, Jember Regency. The variables used in this study are production costs, revenues as well as income and business feasibility levels. Based on the results of the study, the total cost in one year of maintenance that has been incurred by breeding duck breeders is Rp. 481,342,154 whereas, the smallest is issued by small-scale commercial duck breeders with the amount of Rp. 29,915,100 annually. The largest income is received by large-scale breeding ducks with the amount of Rp. 152,322,976 per year whereas, the lowest income is obtained with the amount of Rp. 4,078,170 one year maintenance of small-scale commercial duck commodities. The largest R/C value is 1.53 whereas, the lowest is 1.06. The largest B/C ratio is 0.53 with large-scale breeding ducks while the lowest is 0.06 small-scale breeding ducks and commercial ducks. The Break Event Point values in this study are all above average so that it can be said to be worth running. The largest ROI value was 36.6% of large-scale commercial ducks while the lowest was 14.2% of small-scale commercial duck commodities. Payback Period of this study shows a payback period value of 2.73.
