Abstract

Green beans are one of the plants leguminoseae which has the potential to be developed and much-loved by the community because of its usefulness. Increasing the production and quality of green bean seeds can be done through fertilizing and giving growth regulator substance. This study aims to determine the concentration of Gibberellin and the most appropriate dose of NPK fertilizer to increase the production and quality of green bean seeds. This research was conducted at the State Polytechnic of Jember. The experimental design used was a factorial randomized block design (RBD). The first factor, namely gibberellin, consists of three levels: 10 ppm (G1), 20 ppm (G2), and 30 ppm (G3). The second factor is NPK fertilizer consisting of three levels: 150 kg ha-1 (P1), 250 kg ha-1 (P2), and 350 kg ha-1 (P3). Each treatment combination was repeated three times, so that 27 treatment combinations were obtained. The results were analyzed using ANOVA, if the results showed significantly different results then continued with the DMRT test with a level of 5%. The results showed that the treatment with Gibberellins has a very significant effect on the parameters of flowering age and plant harvest age. Giving gibberellin 30 ppm gave the best results on the parameters of flowering age 34.95 DAP and harvest age 59.84 DAP. The dose treatment of NPK (P) fertilizer had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height at 28 DAP, number of primary branches, stem diameter, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, weight of 100 grains, seed production per hectare, and had a significant effect on parameter of seed weight per plant. The interaction of the two treatments had no significant effect on all observed parameters.
