Abstract

One way to increase the production and quality of green spinach seeds is by topping them and boron fertilizer doses. This study aims to find the best effect of Topping and Dosage of Boron Fertilizer to increase the production and quality of green spinach seeds. This research was conducted from August 2022 to November 2022. This research used a randomized block design with two factors. The first factor is topping which consists of topping on the main stem (15cm, 25cm and 35cm).The second factor is the dose of boron fertilizer consisting of (1 kg/ha, 1.5 kg/ha and 2 kg/ha). The research data will be tested using the F Anova test, then followed with DMRT at error level 5%. The results showed that the topping treatment (T) had a very significant effect on the parameters of the stem diameter, growth rate and germination rate. The dose treatment of boron fertilizer (B) had a very significant effect on the parameters of stem diameter, seed production per plant, seed production per plot, seed production per hectare and 1000 grain weight. The best results from the interaction of topping (T) and boron fertilizer dose (B) gave a very significant effect on the parameters of growth speed and seed germination.
