Abstract

This project focuses on the development of an IoT-based fall detection system for wheelchair users. Falls are a common risk for individuals using wheelchairs, and prompt assistance is crucial in such situations. The proposed system utilizes sensor technologies, such as accelerometers and gyroscopes, to accurately detect fall events. These sensors are integrated into the wheelchair and connected to a database. When a fall is detected, the system sends an alert to caregivers through a mobile application. The system aims to provide timely assistance to wheelchair users in the event of a fall, reducing response time and improving their overall safety and well-being.
