Abstract

The development of a health information system is carried out through system planning, system analysis, system design, software development, hardware provision, system testing, system implementation, and system maintenance and evaluation (Government Regulation, 2014). However, several studies have shown that there are problems with the application of information systems in hospitals. As many as 38% of the inappropriate application of HIS resulted in inappropriate decisions made by the hospital. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) variables as well as the differences and similarities in the results of the evaluation research on the application of SIMRS in 13 articles. The method used is a literature review. From the search results found 13 articles that match the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. As many as 75% of the research results show a positive influence between perceived usefulness on attitude toward using. Furthermore, 70% of articles show the results of a positive and significant influence between perceived usefulness on behavioral intention to use. As many as 78% of the articles show an influence that occurs between attitude toward using on behavioral intention to use. Then, 87% of articles show the relationship between behavioral intention to use and actual system use. The results of the review show 4 similarities and 5 differences in the results of the evaluation research on the application of HIS from previous studies. Efforts that can be made to overcome the problems contained in the application of HIS include improving user skills in using technology, the need for Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the operation of information systems, periodically evaluating HIS, providing examples to staff to foster interest, prepare reliable IT team.
