Abstract

The main plantation commodity in Indonesia is coffee. Coffee has a role as a source of foreign exchange, a material for import and export trade, a producer of industrial raw materials and a source of income for farmers. The average level of coffee consumption in Indonesia in 2018 per person is 0.801 kg per year. The stock of coffee prepared for the total population of Indonesia (267 million people) is 213,867 tons per year. In the same year, Indonesia's coffee exports reached 279.96 thousand tons. Therefore, the high interest in coffee in Indonesia must be balanced with an increase in coffee production. The research was conducted in the Jember State Polytechnic field laboratory, Sumbersari District –Jember from December 2022 to March 2023. The study used a factorial randomized block design, with 2 factors. The first factor is the topsoil planting medium: Manure: Sand which consists of 3 levels: 2:1:1 (M1), 1:2:1 (M2), 1:1:2 (M3). The second factor was ZPT (shallot extract and bean sprout extract) which consisted of 3 levels: 600 ml : 200 ml :200 ml (M1), 400 ml : 400 ml : 200 ml (M2), 200 ml : 600 ml : 200 ml (M3). The results showed that the parameters of seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter had no significant effect, while the root length parameter had a significant effect.
