Abstract

Micro hydro power plant in Sebaung river was established in 2021 located in Sumberpoh village, Maron distract Probolinggo. PLTMH Sebaung is designed with the ability to generate 2 kw of power. Which was originally used for community needs,but currently only used for street lighting because people’s home are now powered by electricity from PLN,therefore micro hydro power plants are used only at night as a treat light and a light when it goes out. Turbin design used 2 kW while the generator used has 40 kw. Sebaung river flow is quite large and should get a large enough power potential. The purpose of this research to determine performance of micro hydro power plants (PLTMH) includes water discharge and generated power in Sebaung river. The method used is the method measuring observation and surveys at the location. Based on the resulting water discharge analysis from the sebaung river it is about 0,3827 m3 /s and the debit is only 6,7 % of existing debits. While the power potential generated by PLTMH Sebaung is about 6,834 kw and the current generated power is only approximately ± 1575 watt.
