Abstract

The Jember Patrang Health Center carried out the process of managing the recording of pharmaceutical preparations and consumable drugs manually. Manual recording had an impact on the inability to provide data processing services into the required information. This impact directly caused the search process for data related to drug use to be unable to be searched accurately or in real time, so that cases were found that patients only received examination services without being accompanied by drug administration due to empty stock. The purpose of this study is to create a website-based pharmaceutical information system (SIFAM) at the Patrang Jember Public Health Center which can improve the quality of service to patients and support pharmaceutical preparation management activities in the pharmaceutical unit. This type of research is research and development using the requirement prototype method in the pharmacy unit at the Patrang Jember Health Center. The stages of making the system consist of analyzing needs, making prototypes, adjusting the prototype to the user's wishes, coding the prototype then carrying out system testing and also adjusting the system to the user's wishes. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation, brainstorming and demonstrations. The results of this study are a pharmaceutical information system that integrates registration units, doctor examination service units that produce electronic prescriptions and pharmaceutical units as pharmaceutical service providers as a follow-up to doctor's prescriptions that have been inputted. This system generates electronic reports in the form of reports on drug stock, drug use, prescriptions and patient visits so as to improve the quality of service to patients and make it easier for officers to manage pharmaceutical preparations as well as consumable drugs at the Patrang Jember Health Center.
