Abstract

School websites play a crucial role in the field of education, with nearly all schools, ranging from elementary schools to universities, having their own websites. This allows the community to easily access information about desired schools quickly and efficiently through the internet. Through interviews and initial data collection, several issues were identified, such as infrequent information management, inadequate interface design, outdated content, and inactive web links. These problems will be analyzed using the categories of the Webuse method to assess the usefulness of the website. In this study, an initial usability score of 0.53 at the Moderate level was obtained. However, after improvements were made based on the results of the final questionnaire, the overall usability score increased to 0.860 at the Excellent level. This indicates a significant improvement in the level of usability of SMP Negeri 1 Jember's website.
