Abstract

An aspect that needs to be considered in hospital services is the use of patient beds. Patient beds need to get great attention from hospital management. This study aims to determine the ideal number of beds that should be owned by a hospital in order to achieve efficiency in its use. One way that is used to manage the planning of bed needs is by forecasting. This study uses the Triple Exponential Smoothing Holt Winters Multiplicative forecasting method. This research is quantitative analytic in nature with the object of research being daily census recapitulation of inpatient care. Based on the results of the study, it was found that inpatient services for each class at dr. Abdoer Rahem Situbondo in 2018- 2022 is still not efficient. It is known that the value of bed usage tends to be high in some inpatient rooms, but low in other inpatient rooms. Based on the results of the prediction of the need for the number of beds in 2023 - 2027, it is found that there are several inpatient rooms that need additional beds, but there are also rooms that need to reduce beds, so that it is necessary to distribute and plan beds in order to achieve efficiency.
