Abstract

The highest source of pollution caused by motorized vehicles. One way to reduce emissions by adding filter using activated charcoal as an adsorbent medium. So, researchers want to add activated charcoal avocado seed to the exhaust for reduce exhaust emissions. In this study can be concluded that the activated charcoal avocado seeds effectively reduce exhaust emissions of CO, HC, O2, and increase CO2 per rpm. CO rpm 1500 2,38% to 1,34% rpm 3000 2,98% to 0,17% rpm 4500 0,4% to 0,2%. HC rpm 1500 251 ppm to 174 ppm rpm 3000 87 ppm to 19 ppm rpm 4500 results equal to 8 ppm. O2 rpm 1500 19,86% to 19,20% rpm 3000 19,73% to 17,06% rpm 4500 18,43% to 16,36%. CO2 rpm 1500 5% to 6,6% rpm 3000 5,6% to 6,6% rpm 4500 7% to 7,1%. The higher engine speed, the lower of emission produced.
