Abstract

Stunting is a condition in which toddlers have a short height or are less than their age. According to the Indonesian Health Profile Data and Information published by the Ministry of Health from 2017 to 2019, the percentage of toddlers with stunting continues to increase. This makes stunting toddlers a problem in Indonesia. In Jember Regency, East Java, toddler stunting is also a problem. According to data from the Jember District Health Office, from 2016 to 2019 the percentage of toddlers with stunting continues to increase. The Jember District Health Office monitors the level of children under five who are stunted through reports that are reported from health centers in Jember Regency. Currently, the reporting process uses a Microsoft Excel file that is sent from the Health Centers to the Health Office. This resulted in a time lag in the process of sending and processing data from the Puskesmas to the Jember District Health Office to become an informative report. As a result, the performance of the Jember District Health Office in monitoring cases of stunting under five in Jember Regency is less efficient. Based on the problems that occurred, the researchers created a geographic information system that would map the distribution of children under five in Jember Regency. Researchers hope that this system can help the efforts of the Jember District Health Office in dealing with the problem of stunting toddlers in Jember Regency.
