Abstract
At present, control of Cowpea mild mottle virus (CPMMV) and its vector is based on the use of insecticide. In recent decades, this method have a negative impact to the environment. Consequently, it is important to search the alternative control against CPMMV infecting soybean The aim of this study was to evaluate the plant defence inducer activity of Anacardium occidentale Linn, Azadiracta indica A. Juss. and Zingiber officinale Rosc. against CPMMV infecting soybean plants. The experiment were included (1) determination of three elected plant defence inducer, (2) serological detection (3) quantification of salicylic acid. The results showed that (1) shells of cashew nut extract at concentration of (2.50 %; 5.00 %), and rhizomes of ginger extract at concentration of 5.00 % were significantly increased disease inhibition of CPMMV that has potential as plant defence inducer in soybean plants treated; (2) Salicylic acid content in soybean plants with plant defence inducer of cashew nut extract at concentration of 2.5 % and rhizomes of ginger extract at concentration of 5.00 % reached 3.58; 3.95 μg / g or 124.11; 145.38% , respectively. The inducer treatments did not caused phytotoxic effects on leaves. Therefore, there were could be developed as source of antiviral for CPMMV infection of soybean plant.
