Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of soaking duration and concentration of PGPR on growth of maize (Zea mays). This research was conducted in Curungrejo Village, Kepanjen, Malang, in December 2018 to February 2019. This research was used Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors and 6 replications. the first factor was duration of soaking consisted 2 levels, 12 hours (L1) and 24 hours (L2). The second factor was concentration of PGPR consisted 3 levels, 5ml/L (K1), 15 ml/L (K2) and 25 ml/L (K3). The data results were analyzed by using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and followed by Least Significant Difference (LSD) 5%. The result of this research shows that concentration of PGPR 25ml/L is significant on growth power, height of plant in 28 days and 42 days after planting, diameter of stem in 28 days and 42 days after planting. However, the interaction between duration of soaking and concentration of PGPR is not significant effect on all parameters.
