Abstract

Background: Job satisfaction for nurses in hospitals can improve their performance in providing services to patients. Job satisfaction for nurses as one of the teams that provide care to improve patient health is needed to improve their performance. Based on the results of a preliminary study on nurse job satisfaction in 2018, it is known that 90% of nurses at DKT Surabaya Hospital have job satisfaction in the less satisfied category. One of the factors that influence job satisfaction is person organization fit. Person organization fit If the person organization fit and job satisfaction are matched or matched, the nurse's job satisfaction will also increase. Objective: To analyze the effect of person-organization fit on the job satisfaction of nurses at DKT Gubeng Pojok Hospital, Surabaya. Methods: This research is an observational analysis study with a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study were nurses at DKT Surabaya Hospital. The research sample amounted to 36 people using total sampling technique. Results and discussion: The results showed that there was a significant effect between person organization fit and nurse job satisfaction because the value was <0.05. While the value of 1.513 which indicates that there is a strong influence between person organization fit and nurse job satisfaction, it is concluded that the higher the job satisfaction, the higher the person organization fit at the DKT Gubeng Pojok Hospital, Surabaya.
