Abstract

Pakcoy mustard is one of the vegetable commodities that has broad market prospects because it is favored by many people from various circles, so it is necessary to increase production. One way to increase mustard production is to intensify agriculture through fertilization with both inorganic and organic fertilizers. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of Urea fertilizer and Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) on the growth and yield of mustard pakcoy. This research was conducted at the Jember State Polytechnic from March 2016 to May 2017 using a factorial randomized block design (RAK). The first factor is the percentage of recommended urea fertilizer dosage which consists of 3 levels, namely 50%, 75% and 100%. The second factor is the concentration of POC which consists of 3 levels, namely 0 ml/l, 2 ml/l and 4 ml/l. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. Data were analyzed using Anova followed by a 5% BNT test. Treatment of urea and POC gave a very significant interaction on plant height parameters observed at 21 and 28 days after planting, significant effect at 14 days after planting, no significant effect on plant wet weight per sample and plant wet weight per plot. The best result was R2U1 treatment, which was a combination of POC 4 ml/l and 50% urea fertilizer.
