Abstract

HHO Generator is a tool that serves as the place of electrolysis water process with the help of electrical energy to obtain HHO gas. HHO generators are divided into two types: dry cell type and wet cell type. The addition of a neutral electrode plate can improve electroliser performance. The purpose of research is to know the performance comparison of HHO generators of aluminum neutral electrode plate (AL) and copper (Cu), knowing the electrode plate is best in improving the performance of HHO generators and knowing the solution Electrolytes that can increase gas productivity. The working principle of HHO generators is to convert electrical energy into chemical energy to obtain the hydrogen gas (H2) and oxygen (O2) from the electrolysis process. Based on the research that has been done is obtained by the results of a dry cell type HHO generator performance comparison using electrode plate (positive negative) SS316 with the addition of aluminium neutral electrode plates (AL) and copper (CU) using Electrolyte AMDK (AQUA brand), known to the power consumption of the participating 7.35 Watts, 5.76 Watts, 6.73 Watts, the value of a consecutive gas discharge-participated 0.00008 L/sec, 0.0001 L/sec, the ratio of the value of the consecutive gas ratios-also 0,000011:1, 0,000025:1, 0,000015:1 for 25 minutes Testing, the efficiency value of the successive generators – 11%, 26.9%, 15%, and the energy loss values are consecutive – 13.03%, 15.51%, 11.89%. The best electrode plate to improve the performance of the generators is with the addition of Aluminium neutral electrodes and the best use of electrolytes in HHO Generator testing is bottled drinking water (AMDK).
