Abstract

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a contagious disease in Indonesia. Transmission of HIV can occur through a mother to her child that occurs during pregnancy, childbirth or while breastfeeding. One effort to reduce the rate of HIV transmission from mother to baby can be through early detection by means of testing for HIV / AIDS. The background which causes increased in children under the age of 15 years affected by HIV can be caused by mothers who have been infected with HIV and do not conduct HIV / AIDS testing. The Kencong Health Center is included in the region with the highest number of HIV cases, so it needs to be checked as early as possible especially for pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors related to the willingness of pregnant women to take an HIV test at the Kencong Public Health Center. This type of research was Quantitative. The subjects in this study were all pregnant women who visited the Kencong Health Center. The results showed that there was a relationship between predisposing factors including age and attitude with the willingness of pregnant women to take HIV / AIDS testing services, there is a relationship between enabling factors which include the availability of informed consent with the willingness of pregnant women to take HIV / AIDS testing services, and there is a relationship between the motivating factors which include family support and the willingness of pregnant women to take HIV / AIDS testing services.
