Abstract

Phenomenon that occurs in broiler production, generally not observing and calculating effectivity and efficiency of production. Especially which are related to harvesting process. This research was aimed to determine effect of harvesting factors likes mortality/ depletion, rearing period/ age, body weight, selling price and harvesting duration on breeder income in Jember simultanously and partial income. The experiment was conducted in Jember from December 2014 - January 2015. Survey method was used as research method. Survey data analyzed with classical assumption test, regression analysis, correlation coefficient and determination coefficient, for hypothesis test was used ANOVA and “T” test . Variables studied were: income (Y), mortality / depletion (X1), rearing period/ age (X2), body weight (X3), selling price (X4) and duration of harvesting (X5). The object of this research are 30 farmers in Jember. The results showed increasing age/ rearing period, weight and selling price, will get bigger income earned. Meanwhile, bigger value of depletion and harvesting duration made smaller income. ANOVA test showed F count > F table (0,05), so that concluded mortality/depletion, rearing period/age, body weight, selling price and harvesting duration have simultaneously effects in breeder income. Based on result in partial or individual with "t" test knew were two variables that have significant effect showed by t count> t table (0.05) there are mortality / depletion and selling price. From analysis showed coeffisien level/ correlation level from highest mortality/ depletion, selling price, body weight, rearing period/age and harvesting duration, and also known that plasma core in breeding system, the mainly company more dominant in determination and decision during production process.
