Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of organic fertilizer using filter cake and the addition of chicken manure on the growth of sugarcane varieties cenning. This research was conducted in October 2022 - December 2022 in Situbondo district, Panarukan subdistrict, Paowan Village. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Block Design (RCBD), namely the composition of the media with the filter cake and addition of chicken manure. With the composition of the media T0 (control), T1 Top soil, Sand, Filter cake (1:1:1), T2 Top soil, Sand, Chicken manure (1:1:1) and T3 Top soil, Sand, Chicken manure (1:1:2). The results showed that there was a significant effect between the application of organic fertilizer on the initial growth of sugarcane bud set (Saccharum officinarum L.) of the cenning variety. The most optimal and effective organic fertilizer treatment was the T2 treatment, namely the composition of top soil media, sand, chicken manure with a ratio of 1:1:1.
