Abstract

The activity of the implementation of this thesis aims to find out the benefits and factors that influence the maintenance of household scale domestic chicken in Sukowono Subdistrict, Jember Regency. This survey activity was carried out in Sukowono Subdistrict (12 villages) of Jember Regency for ± 1.5 months. Data was collected by questionnaire instrument given to 10 household scale chicken farmers in each village. The benefits of household scale chicken farmers in Sukowono Subdistrict, Jember Regency show that each village is not the same. This is influenced by several factors of production (seed costs, management, and feed) and marketing. The biggest advantage in the maintenance of domestic scale chicken in the District Sukowono Jember is Rp. 6,081,872, in the village of Baletbaru (for 1 year in the first year).
