Abstract
This research is intended to find out the problems caused by the existence of cryptocurrencies and how to overcome them. The use of various literatures from previous journals is added as a critical study of the existing problems. The use of regulations is a form of solving problems that arise. The development of cryptocurrency is getting faster and faster, and its presence is recognized globally. The result of this research is that there are several regulations that regulate cryptocurrency transactions but it is still necessary to have a technological arrangement to emphasize the security of its use. The balance between regulations and norms in cryptocurrency transactions is also very necessary to support the development of cryptocurrency. If one of these contexts is lost, cryptocurrency users will feel uncomfortable, users will tend to avoid cryptocurrency transactions and cryptocurrency will gradually be forgotten.
