Abstract

The problem of pregnancy in Indonesia is high. Based on the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR), especially in East Java, it is the highest. The number of MMR every year is increasing. Based on a survey in 2017, there were 529 total MMR. This can happen because it is based on knowledge in preparing before the birth process. Therefore we need a system like an expert that can function to increase knowledge to the community, especially pregnant women. The method used in the expert system for the risk of pregnancy diagnosis is to use forward chaining in the selection of factors that support pregnant women. After selecting the factors, then calculating the certainty factor to get the final conclusion in the form of pregnancy that occurred. Based on the application that has been carried out with 20 test data, the results of the pregnancy diagnosis expert system are 95% accurate.
