Abstract

Orchid has become one of the most favorite flowers in Indonesia. However, the orchid productivity decreasingevery year due to the difficulties in vegetative growing especially in the acclimatization stage. One of the solution to that is to use suitable planting media for orchid and adding vitamin B1. Vitamin B1 functions to reduce shock to plants when acclimatization. This research was conducted in the garden of Handoyo Budi Orchid Telasih street, Ngijo Village, Karangploso sub_district, Malang from August to December 2019. This research uses Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor uses various media that contain black moss media (M1) and fern media (M2). The second factor was the dosage of vitamin B1, 0 ml/L of Vitamin B1 (B1), 1 ml/L of Vitamin B1 (B2), 2 ml/L of vitamin B1 (B3) and 3 ml/L of vitamin B1 (B4).The datawas analyzed by using analysis variants and will be continued by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result of data analysis showed that interaction planting media and vitamin B1 showed very significant differences to the orchid height by 0.83 cm on combination of black mos and 1 ml/L vitamin B1
