Abstract

The results of the 2018 Riskesdas study stated that the prevalence of anemia increased by 48.95% compared to 2013 which amounted to 37.1%. So that the authors raised anemia to be the object of research. Problems that are often encountered in diagnosing anemia are only grouped into one type of anemia, namely iron deficiency anemia. But in reality there are many types of anemia. So we need an expert system that can make it easier to diagnose the type of anemia. In conducting this research, the type of research used is descriptive survey. Then conducted interviews with health experts in the data collection process. In this study, the certainty factor method was used which produced a level of confidence for each type of disease. There are four types of anemia, namely iron deficiency anemia, aplastic anemia, megaloblastic anemia and hemolytic anemia. There are three variables used, namely general symptoms, special symptoms and signs. The results of application testing using the black-box method are in accordance with the needs. The results of testing the accuracy of the system using the Certainty Factor method were obtained at 70%.
