Abstract

A healthy lifestyle is a good habit to maintain health where the habit lasts quite a long time so that it becomes a habit that cannot be separated from the person and a healthy lifestyle habit should be instilled as early as possible. One of the factors that affect a healthy lifestyle is a regular diet and consuming healthy foods. Healthy food is food that contains balanced nutrition. According to the results of basic health research or Riskesdas, the obesity rate in adults in Indonesia in 2013 reached 11.5% and in 2018 it reached 13.6%. WHO says less than 2.8 million people die each year because obesity and obesity are the number five cause of death in the world. The prevalence of obesity in adults in Indonesia is 15.4% higher than the prevalence of obesity in children, namely 8.8%. Given that obesity occurs due to an imbalance between incoming and outgoing energy, this can be handled by providing science with how to calculate the number of calories needed by the body so that no energy intake exceeds the energy needed or expended. Before knowing the number of calories needed by the body, first calculate the ideal body weight (BBI) and also need to calculate the body mass index (BMI) to determine the nutritional status. If the nutritional status is more than 27kg / m2, it is called obesity. In this study, an application was built by implementing a genetic algorithm method in determining food ingredients for obese people. The results of the calculation based on the number of calories needed will be the reference value for determining the nutritional intake of these food ingredients, which will help obese sufferers to consume foods that match the calories needed.
