Abstract

Coffee is a plantation product that is very popular with Indonesians because of its taste and aroma. The need for coffee every year is increasing. This is not significant with coffee production which has decreased in the past few years. This is because coffee plant disease is widespread due to erratic weather. A disease that only attacks coffee in the lowlands becomes attacking in the highlands because the weather warms up. Apart from the unpredictable weather, the late handling of diseases in coffee plants is also a factor in the decline in coffee production in East Java. In this study, the aim of this research is to make a tool for coffee farmers regarding disease control in coffee plants, as well as to provide solutions to prevent coffee plant diseases from spreading. The method used is the Dempster Shafer. The way this system works is by entering the symptoms of a coffee plant that is affected by the disease, then the system will look for similar symptoms entered with the existing database. With this system, it is hoped that coffee farmers will be more aware of disease attacks and can provide the right solution to overcome the problem of coffee plants.
