Abstract

Livestock waste is all the waste products from livestock activities in the form of liquid, solid and gas. Livestock waste is often ignored by breeders, causing a lot of waste to be disposed of without being processed, because the lack of knowledge of breeders about the benefits and advantages of waste treatment is one of the causes of this. This observation was carried out for 1 month from June 14 to July 14, 2022. The method used in carrying out this research was the non-factorial Randomized Block Design Method (RBD). There are 4 agricultural waste materials used, namely Rice Straw (LP1), Edamame Crackers LP2), Edamame Fruit Peels (LP3) and Sawdust (LP4). This research activity took place at the Jember State Polytechnic Soil Science Laboratory. The research parameters to be analyzed were the content of N-Total, K2O and P2O5. To determine the content contained in agricultural waste, samples were taken and brought to the UPT Bioscience Laboratory located at the Jember State Polytechnic campus. The purpose of carrying out research activities is to find out the content contained in Rice Straw, Edamame Crackers, Edamame Fruit Peels and Sawdust after adding bioactivators from the rumen of cattle. The benefit of this research is to add insight and provide references to the use of bioactivars from cow rumen for the decomposition process of organic matter waste, the content of Cow Rumen Contents (IRS) has the potential to be used as an alternative feed raw material, Cow rumen contents were chosen because they are easy to find and not yet available. optimally utilized. Based on the data that has been observed, there is a change in composition from time to time during the observation. This shows that the rumen of cattle as a decomposer has the potential to convert organic waste into compost.
