Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth of sugarcane seedlings (Saccharum officinarum L.) based on the treatment of various plant media and the interval of administration of fermented cow urine. This research will be carried out from June 2021 to August 2021 which is located in Grujugan Kidul Village, Grujugan District, Bondowoso Regency. This study used a randomized block design (RAK) method which consisted of 2 factors. The first factor is a variety of media consisting of 3 levels of treatment, namely M1 planting media ratio 1.1.1, husk ash, sand, soil, M2 planting media ratio 1.1.1, cow manure, sand, soil, M3 planting media ratio 1.1. 1, goat manure, sand, and soil, while the second factor is the interval of POC administration which consists of 3 kinds of intervals, namely A1: control, A2: once a week, and A3: 2 weeks. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications. Parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers, stem diameter, leaf length, wet weight, and dry weight. The data were analyzed using ANOVA analysis and if there were significant differences, further tests would be carried out using the BNJ follow-up test with a level of 5%. The treatment of various growing media and the interval of giving fermented cow urine to the growth of sugarcane seedlings (Saccharum officinarum L.) got significantly different results on the parameters of plant height, a number of tillers, stem diameter, and leaf length.
