Abstract

Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is widely consumed by Indonesian people because the fruit has a sweet taste and contains lots of water so it is refreshing when eaten. The price of melons which tend to be of economic value compared to other types of annuals causes melons to be very good for cultivation. This research was conducted in the field of PT. Benih Citra Asia Farm Rowosari, Jember from September to December 2019. This research was conducted using RCBD(Randomized Completely Block Design) Factorial which consist of 2 factor and control factors. The first factor is the provision of POC concentrations consisting of 4 levels, the comparison factor (K0), POC 50ml / Liter water (K1), POC 100ml / Liter water (K2), POC 150ml / Liter water (K3). The second factor is fertilization time consisting of 4 levels, 5 days of POC (I1), 7 days of POC (I2), 9 days of POC (I3). The result the was showed treatment of differences in the influence of POC concentrations 15ml/l (K3) gave significantly different results on the parameters of observing plant height at 4 week after planting, number of seeds planted, weight of seed yield (base yield) of plants, germination and weight of 100 grains. The treatment of different POC 150ml/l (K3) fertilizing time intervals 5 days (I1) gave significantly different results in the parameters of observations of crop seed weight, weight of 100 grains and germination power and gave significantly different results on plant height parameters. There was a very significant interaction between the treatment of different concentrations of POC 150ml/l (K3) fertilizer application with POC fertilizer time intervals 5 days on the parameters of the number of crop seeds, crop seed weight, percentage of germination and weight of 1000 hybrid melon (Cucumis melo L.).
