Abstract

Uji Keunggulan Benih Hibrida Semangka Calon Varietas SK 41 (Citrullus lanatus) dengan Tiga Varietas Pembanding. (Test the Superiority of Watermelon Hybrid Seeds of Candidate SK 41 Variety (Citrullus lanastus) with Three Comparison Varieties) Supervisor: Netty Ermawati, S.P., Ph.D. and Rezqi Lukman Aziz, S.Tr.P. Muhammad Ardi Viantoko Study Program Seed Production Technique Majoring of Agricultural Production Program Studi Teknik Produksi Benih Jurusan Produksi Pertanian ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to know the advantages and characteristics from candidate variety of watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) who observed based on growth and productivity parameters. The research was conducted at the research and Development land of PT. Wira Nusantara from August ubtil October 2021. Candidate of varieties used assemblies of PT. Wira Agro Nusantara Sejahtera are SK 41 and the three comparison varieties are BWM 352, AMARA f1, and WM 1297. This research used factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) and if showed significant effect continued with BNJ level of 5%. The parameters are rod diameter, leaf length, fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plot, fruit skin thickness, sugar level, production per hectare, age of flowering, and age of harvest. The result showed that candidate of variety SK 41 there are several advantages in the production parameter per hectare is 23,90 ton per hectare and fruit weight fruit is 3,08 kg. Beside that, there are indentifier on candidate varieties SK 41 are tepered leaf tip, green fruit skin color with code RHS2015 NN 137 B, green thin stripe RHS2015 N 189 A, and black seed RHS2015 203 B.
