Abstract

This research aimed to assess the investment and cl assify the Arthropod populations on red chili plant ation (conventional) and organic transitions that act as natural enemies of red chili pests. This research w as conducted from November 2018 to March 2019, located in Gawok Hamlet, Dukuhdempok Village, Wuluhan District, Jemb er. This research was conducted by using two kind of pl ots i.e. conventional technic (using full of synthe tic pesticide) and organic transition technic (using Beauveria bas siana, Area Refugia, Trichoderma spp). The observat ion variables in this research were investment and clas sification of insect population in each treatment. Arthropod diversity was analyzed using the Shannon Weiner div ersity index and Dominance index. The results showe d that the value of Arthropoda Diversity Index base on Sha non-Wiener Index (H') in organic transition technic was higher than conventional technic viz. 1.623 ± 0.142 and 1.376 ± 0.132, respectively. The level of spec ies dominance (C) for both areas classified as moderate category. Conventional technic obtained the higher value tha n organic trantition technic viz. 0.343 ± 0.135 dan 0.322 ± 0 .123, respectively.
