Abstract

This study aims to determine the evaluation of the observed yield potential based on growth and yield potensial.This research was conducted in the land of Market and Development CV. Aura Seed Indonesia, Kediri Regency. candidate hybrid varieties used are the results of CV. Aura Seed Indonesia are 50 11C (2) and 50 11C (12). The comparison hybrid variety used were Bonanza, Exsotic, Secada, Prima and Talenta. The research used was non-factorial RAK with ANOVA test and further tested using the BNJ test with an error rate of 5%. Parameters observed were male flowering age, female flowering age, plant height, stem diameter, harvest age, cob weight with husk. cob weight without husk, length of cob without husk, diameter of cob without husk, number of rows of seeds and hectare production. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the superior hybrid varieties have advantages in terms of harvest age, hybrid varieties 50 11C (2) and 50 11C (12) can be harvested at the age of 73 days. while the candidate hybrid variety 50 11C (2) has a high producti of 14,60 tons hectare production. Based on the selection index, the candidate hybrid variety 50 11C (2) has high yield and can be tested further Key words : sweet corn, yield potential evaluation, growth and disease resistance
