Abstract

Duplication is one of the problems that often occurs at Health Center, one of which is Labruk Health Center. Based on preliminary results, from 2.501 samples of medical records obtained 10.3% of duplicated files. The impact of this duplication is incomplete chronology of the patient's disease, excessive use of folders and forms. The purpose of this research is to analyze the causes of duplication medical record numbers based on organizational support and management support in Labruk Health Center. It was a qualitative research and the data collection techniques used interviews, observations. The object of research was the medical record file, and the subject of this research was registration officer, head of the medical record and head of the public health center. The results of study for the factors that cause of duplication of organizational support is absence of SOP, absence of KIUP, and medical record numbers are not made automatically on SIMPUS. Factors that cause duplication of management support was no evaluations and discussions were carried out to overcome the duplication problem. It can be concluded that organizational support and management support are the causes of duplication, if there is a lack of organizational or management support, duplication will continue to increase.
