Abstract
Clinic is meant to be a Health care facility, act as a work space for the medical record staff whose doing the medical record and health information management service. Medical Record unit work space arrangement in health service facility affecting the service activity, therefore the work space arrangement in medical record unit need to be concerned. Even more, if there is no specific room for medical record unit in an organization of health service facility. This research aimed to designing medical record work space in Poliklinik Politeknik Negeri Jember. It was descriptive qualitative research with primary and secondary data analysis. Research subject is medical record work space. Based on the observation and interviews, Poliklinik Politeknik negeri Jember needs a new medical record room with a size that can contain 2 (two) filing shelves sized 62 x 450 x 195 cm and work table for the assembling and filling staffs. Designing happened to used Sweet Home 3D for a better results and 3D display. The room could be used for work space and a filing room consists of two filing shelves. Based on the interview, the staffs informed that the room would need more lighting and air fresher to keep the temperature as for the files and also the staffs that will work in that room.
