Abstract
The restoration of medical record files is a fairly important system in the medical record unit, because the restoration of medical records starts from the file in the ward until the file returns to the medical record unit. Delays in returning medical record files more than 2x24 hours can hamper services, patient data processing activities and reporting activities. Based on the results of observations and interviews, there were problems with delays in returning inpatient medical record files at Genteng Hospital, where there were delays in January 42,82%, February 51,60%, and March 53,99% in 2020. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes. , and motivation of nurses to delay in returning inpatient medical record files. This research is a type of quantitative research with a cross sectional approach, using the chi square test. The type of sample used in this study was a total sampling of 28 nurses. The results of this study indicate the knowledge of nurses with a sig (p) value of 0.001. For the attitude of nurses with a sig value (p) of 0.045. And for motivation with a value of sig (p) 0.046. The suggestions from this study are the need for improvement and understanding of procedures related to inpatient medical record files, an evaluation of the delay in medical records is carried out every month.
