Abstract

The Activities Of Information Staff At Taman Pintar Yogyakarta, IntanPermata Sari, NIM F31161785, Year 2020, 37 Pages, Language, Communicationand Tourism Department, Politeknik Negeri Jember, Agus Setia Budi, S.Pd.,M.Pd( Internal Supervisor) and Pipiet Dhanayu Pratiwindya, S.Pd. (Field Supervisor).Politeknik Negeri Jember is one of campus that has lots of departments.Language, Communication and Tourism is one of departments at PoliteknikNegeri Jember. That department has one study program, that is English studyprogram.Internship Program is a company training that must be conducted at theend of semester in order to apply the students skill in a work place. The period ofInternship Program is 384 hours for Diploma III and 512 hours for Diploma IV.The Internship Program gives the opportunity for the students for applying theirskills and competences that they have already got from learning activities incollege. In this case as a student of English study program, choose therecommended place that relevant with their skill and competence. The writerchoosed Taman Pintar Yogyakarta as a place of her internship program.Taman Pintar had a tourism object about science and technology that canattract the visitors. Taman Pintar also intoduce about culture of Yogyakarta.Therefore the writer chose did internship program in Taman Pintar because thequality of the tourism object is good and the writer interested to did internshipprogram in Taman Pintar Yogyakarta. While did internship program the writerjoined in public relation division.In this study program, there are two kind of requirements to graduate. Oneof them is finishing internship program. This program is held about two until threemonths. Internship program gives some experiences that the students did not getin campus. Internship program is the activity that the purpose is to apply thelessons has been learned to practice and to increase students’ skill in the realworkplace. To do this program, the student need to know the job and theresponsibility of a certain position.
