Abstract

Melon is a seasonal fruit plant with a creeping type and and belongs to the class of two-sided seed plants. Along with increasing productivity every year, quality seeds are needed as a means of production to support it. This study aims to find out the concentration of AB Mix and the right time interval for fertilization. This research was conducted from December 11, 2020 to February 23, 2021 at Farm PT. Benih Citra Asia, in Rowosari Village of Jember Regency. The experimental design used is a Randomized Plan of Factorial Groups with 2 factors. The first factor is the concentration of nutrients AB Mix with 12,5 ml/l (N1), AB Mix 15 ml/l (N2), AB Mix 17,5 ml/l (N3). The second factor is the 5-day fertilization time interval (I1), the 7-day time interval (I2), the 10-day time interval (I3). Data analysis using the test formula f (ANOVA) and further test using Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with an error rate of 5% if between treatments there is a significant difference. The results showed that the treatment of AB Mix nutrient concentration with 17,5 ml/l (N3) had a very noticeable effect on seed weight parameters (12.84 grams), weight 1000 seeds (29.62 grams) and production per hektar (273.87 kg) and had a real effect on the parameters of the number of seeds (427.69 seeds) and AB Mix with 15 ml/l (N2) had a very real effect on the seed number parameters (468 seeds). While the 5-day time interval (I1) exerts a very real influence on all observation parameters except the seed number parameter where the number of seeds (426.89 seed), seed weight (12.77 grams), weight 1000 seeds (30.04 grams), presentation of finished seeds (93.26%) and production per hectare (272,50 kg). The treatment interaction between Nutrition AB Mix with concentration with 17,5 ml/l and 5-day time interval (N3I1) exerts a very noticeable effect on the weight parameter of 1000 seeds (30.82 grams) and on the finished seed presentation parameter (93.53%).
