Abstract

In the development of oil palm productivity, seed is a product of a procurement process plants that can affect the achievement of production and a subsequent crop. One alternative way to encourage the growth of oil palm seedlings are of good quality and homogeneous growth is to provide organic fertilizer (manure) to the plant. This study aimed to evaluate the response of manure on the growth of oil palm seedlings. This research was conducted at the Polytechnic of Jember for 6 months, starting in June 2014 to December 2014. This study tested using t-test analysis to compare the growth of plants by using two treatments. First, the plant (M1) with the media treatment with a ratio of 2: 1 (manure: soil). While the second treatment (M2) with a ratio of media 1: 2 (manure: soil). The results of this study indicate the composition of manure treatment provision provides no significant effects and no significant effect on all parameters of plant growth research.
